Dansville is a village in southeastern Ingham County along M-36 at the junction of Williamston Road. This small agricultural town that has survived the years because of its location to greater metropolitan areas, Lansing, Brighton, Ann Arbor and Jackson. Its economy is supported primarily by small business, agriculture research and production. It has its own school and is the location of the Ingham Township Hall. A notable landmark in the town includes a well-preserved horse-drawn fire engine house, circa 1867.
